Lauren came into this session knowing her headshots were overdue. The last ones were taken years ago in LA by someone from the marketing team. They were functional but done quick so they felt disconnected from what she wanted today. This session was about creating images that actually reflect where she is now.
As we talked, she said something that stuck with me: “I don’t really think of this as transactional, I think of it as a long-term career.” That one line explained so much. Lauren works in the luxury space, but what really defines her is how seriously she takes relationships. She’s driven, highly organized, and from what I observed, shes great with people.
This session was about capturing that balance. Polished but relaxed. Confident without being flashy. Someone who knows how to move in high-level spaces because she thrives in those spaces and also enjoys the process.
Behind The Lens: Crafting the Photoshoot
One of those you know it the second you see it moments happened when Lauren brought this incredible red leather jacket. I immediately knew I wanted to lean into color blocking! This is essentially just pairing her jacket with a matching red backdrop and the the result was better than I hoped. It was bold and powerful and felt so on-brand. A memorable moment for sure.
